Tim Cermak, PM, Tim Runcie, MVP, PMPP, and Manmeet Chaudhari, MVP, have been digging into Microsoft Project Server 2010 over the past few months to explore its capabilities and strengths.  They’ve really gotten to flesh out a lot of the Project Portfolio Management features.  Using this knowledge, they developed a series of White Papers and Webcasts in conjunction with Microsoft, to provide end-users with a window into Microsoft Project Server 2010 and the importance of not just managing projects well, but selecting the right projects to pursue.

Advisicon’s first series, mentioned in a previous post, focused on a Demand Management in Project Server 2010 White Paper, which was complimented with a four-part Webcast:
Part 1: Overview
Part 2: Create and Select Phases
Part 3: Plan, Manage, and Close Phases
Part 4: Test the Theory and Review

Advisicon’s second White Paper and webcast series, A Look at Portfolio Strategy in Microsoft Project 2010, zeroed into Project Server 2010, from a business based, end-user perspective of how to utilize Project Server 2010 to assess Portfolios and forecast successful projects and programs.  The accompanying webcast was Overview of Project Portfolio Management using Project Server 2010 which was followed up with Deep Dive into Project Portfolio Management using Project Server 2010.

We’re excited that Microsoft has really worked hard to implement customer feedback to make Project Server 2010 an innovative and extremely high caliber product for businesses.  In addition, Project 2010′s developmental roots align with Advisicon’s outlook on providing customer solutions in the realm of Demand Management and strategic Portfolio Management.

If you have any questions or would like to have more information, our team of experts can bring you up to speed on the latest developments and creative applications of Microsoft Server 2010!
