Advisicon Sponsors and Plans The 4th Annual Joint PMI/ MPUG Event in Mexico City

Advisicon solution architects and senior solution consultants around the world all give back to the community of practice to share best practices and contribute to building the competencies of peers.

October 8 and 9, 2009 , the Advisicon Mexico operations worked closely with the Microsoft Project community and the Project Management Institute’s PMI-Mexico Chapter to offer the “Mejores practicas y tecnologías de vanguardia para la dirección de proyectos” or “Best practices and advanced technologies for project management” conference. There were 145 registered participants at this 2-day event, which was held at the Mexico City Campus of the Technological Institute of Monterrey.

There were several 4-hour workshops (from 9:00 to 1:00, and 3:00 to 7:00), and also two tracks and a session.

The Advisicon workshops were:

  • “The Effective Use of SharePoint to Support the PMO” (by Rene Alvarez)
  • “Assessing Project Management Maturity with OPM3″ (by Elis Perez, PMP)
  • Javier Gonzalez, President of MPUG Mexico, lead a seminar on the Project Portfolio Office
